Did you know that Linked In has over 175 million members? The vast majority of them business people like you and I. The demographics of membership of Linked In should have everyone who is in business and who mean business sitting up and taking note.
There’s no doubt about it in my mind – social media is a game changer for business. Yet frankly it is remarkable how few businesses have done anything other than pay lip service to its power. For that reason I asked Mark Hamilton Taylor to provide Linked In training at the Leeds Club for some of Virtuoso Legal’s clients and contacts. The feedback we’ve had from people has been amazing. Mark’s boast that no one goes away from one of his seminars disappointed was certainly true. Delegates learned how to optimise their own profile, seek out particular clients and companies they want to target, as well as make their own profiles stand out from the crowd.
The help from Mark was clear – make yourself and your Company stand out and be noticed on Linked In – for the right reasons! Have a range of contacts and keep them up to date with what you are doing in business that may relate to them. Linked In is NOT about the hard sell, nor is it simply about passively “being on” the network. It is all about how you use Linked In.
I’m really pleased that I shared this powerful training day with so many people – some who came from as far as Barcelona! At the end of the day, it is all about those who attended going off to implement what they’ve learned. However, looking round the room at the quality of attendee I have no doubt that sooner or later, they will all benefit considerably from what they’ve learned.
